LEONHARD KURZ installs DM-MAXLINER 2D at Polygravia Arts Graphiques SA, setting new standards for digital metallization in sheet-fed printing
Fürth/Germany, October 29, 2024: LEONHARD KURZ, the internationally specialist for thin-film technologies based in Fürth, celebrates the first European installation of the groundbreaking DM-MAXLINER 2D at the renowned Swiss provider of innovative printing and embellishment solutions, Polygravia Arts Graphiques SA. The machine sale was concluded at this year’s drupa 2024 in Düsseldorf, immediately following the global launch of the DM-MAXLINER 2D. The new technology received widespread interest and was met with enthusiasm by visitors at the trade fair. The partnership between KURZ and Polygravia underscores the shared vision of both companies to advance the printing industry with cutting-edge technology and pioneering applications.
Unprecedented precision, speed, and substrate versatility
With the decision to acquire the DM-MAXLINER 2D, Polygravia elevates its range of high-quality printing solutions to a new level, reinforcing its positioning as a leading provider for demanding sheet-fed printing applications, including packaging, commercial, and security printing. The DM-MAXLINER 2D lays the foundation for this development with KURZ’s patented Inkjet-on-Transfer technology, which delivers unparalleled precision, quality, and reliability. The DM-MAXLINER 2D enables the production of premium digital metallization on a broad range of substrates, including open-structured, uncoated papers, in a single pass at full operating speed of up to 3,500 sheets per hour. Thanks to short setup times, the machine also contributes to a substantial increase in efficiency. Additionally, the DM-MAXLINER 2D opens up new possibilities for the customization of print products – whether in mass production, small batches, or special editions.
Highest standards for digital metallization
“The installation of the DM-MAXLINER 2D at Polygravia is a significant signal of our shared vision for a printing industry continuously striving for innovation and top quality,” emphasizes Michael Aumann, Global Director of Digital Embellishment Solutions at KURZ. He continues, “With this first European installation, we are setting an example for the future of the printing industry and look forward to developing innovative solutions with Polygravia that not only meet but exceed customer expectations.”
Pascal Telley, Managing Director of Polygravia, also sees the partnership as a strategic advantage: “Our investment in the DM-MAXLINER 2D reflects our commitment to innovation in the printing industry. This cutting edge technology enables us to offer clients new creative opportunities, improving the quality and uniqueness of every project. With digital metallization, we are making high-quality finishes accessible for a wider range of applications. We can now realize projects that were previously unimaginable, offering more creative freedom in modern print production.”
The partnership between KURZ and Polygravia aims for long-term growth, continuous innovation in digital embellishment, and enhanced efficiency in print production. “We are proud to set new benchmarks in print embellishment technologies with the DM-MAXLINER 2D, offering the printing industry the highest standards in quality and efficiency,” concludes Michael Aumann.
