LEONHARD KURZ presents new website for the medical technology segment

Fürth/Germany, January 16, 2024: From November 13 to 16, 2023, medical technology representatives from all over the world came together at MEDICA in Düsseldorf to find out about the latest products and technologies for the industry. As an expert with more than 30 years of experience in this area, LEONHARD KURZ was naturally also in attendance, especially since the company had exciting news to announce just in time for the start of the renowned trade event.

Bundled expertise to benefit the medical technology sector

At MEDICA, LEONHARD KURZ presented a new website for the first time, which bundles and clearly presents the company's broad portfolio in the field of medical technology. The thin-film technology expert from Fürth has years of experience developing solutions for a wide range of application areas ranging from pharmaceutical packaging, laboratory supplies, and consumer goods to in-vitro diagnostics, and micro- and nano-engineering.

“Our company is active in many areas that have touch points with medical technology - be it the design of smart surfaces for the plastics industry, the finishing of labels and packaging, or the integration of anti-counterfeit protection elements,” explains Dr. Dieter Pfeifle, Business Development Medical Technology at KURZ, and continues: “All our business areas have already developed numerous medical technology solutions in recent years. Now we want to bundle these cross-departmental skills and use them even more specifically -  and the new website is the ‘starting signal,’ so to speak. In order to further optimize it and better meet the requirements of our broad target group, we have already had many discussions with industry representatives at MEDICA and exchanged many ideas in great detail.”

From physical solutions to nano-engineering

The KURZ portfolio includes a wide range of solutions that optimize medical technology applications and diagnostic products. In addition, the company's surface finishings equip sanitary items, containers, tubes, and other equipment in clinics with various functionalities.

In addition, KURZ solutions are part of innovative ‘lab-on-a-chip’ concepts as well as plasmonic applications with a focus on the manufacturing technologies of nanoimprint lithography and injection molding.
