LEONHARD KURZ presents pioneering innovations for sustainable construction projects at BAU 2025
Fürth/Germany, December 19, 2024: LEONHARD KURZ is once again setting standards in the world of innovative surface technologies at BAU 2025, which takes place in Munich from January 13 to 17. With two new products that combine state-of-the-art functionality with environmental awareness, the company will be presenting itself as a driving force for the architecture and construction industry in Hall A2, Stand 312.
Organic white pigment based on renewable raw materials: Perfect performance meets ecological responsibility
ALPURIT, the new, organic white pigment from LEONHARD KURZ, is the ecofriendly option for use in emulsion and interior wall paints. Thanks to a biopolymer content of currently around 20%, ALPURIT stands for ecological responsibility and meets even the highest quality requirements. The high-performance, environmentally friendly variant for the production of emulsion and interior wall paints dispenses with conventional white pigments such as titanium dioxide and thus contributes to a healthy indoor climate with environmentally friendly production. The innovative pigment is spray-dried; optimum product properties prevent settling and offer long-term stability and high opacity. With a primary particle size of around 0.5 μm, ALPURIT ensures excellent light stability, perfect homogeneity and outstanding durability.
Bio-based curing agent for freshly demolded concrete
LEONHARD KURZ opens up new perspectives with SIPORIT® NBM-BE, the bio-based, solvent-free curing agent for freshly demolded concrete. As a member of the SIPORIT® family, the high-performance technology with a bio content of 95% combines three important aspects that are in high demand on the market: sustainability, protection and durability. The ready-to-use hybrid emulsion was specially developed for freshly stripped concrete, as the demand for an innovative, environmentally conscious solution is particularly high here. After application, SIPORIT® NBM-BE forms a layer that reliably protects concrete against evaporation and ensures optimum hydration in the concrete layer close to the surface. This evaporation protection acts like an invisible protective shield that prevents premature drying out and minimizes early shrinkage cracks.
The rate of carbonation is reduced; surface aesthetics and durability are preserved. Due to its composition and the raw materials used, SIPORIT® NBMBE offers an environmentally friendly alternative. The bio-based curing agent can be applied simply and easily by spraying, rolling or brushing and is particularly suitable for concrete components that are not subject to traffic and do not have special skid resistance requirements. It is applied directly to the freshly stripped concrete surfaces, dries quickly and can be quickly painted over. This makes work processes even more effective.
