LEONHARD KURZ presents the possibilities of digital finishing at Grafotronic ASPIRE 2023

Fürth/Germany - May 12, 2023: Grafotronic ASPIRE 2023 will take place in Warsaw on May 24, 2023, This networking event for representatives of the graphics sector with a focus on digital printing, workflow, and further processing, is organized by the finishing machine expert Grafotronic. LEONHARD KURZ will be presenting the many possibilities of digital finishing on site. With the DM-FLEXLINER 2D and DM-UNILINER 2D, the thin-film specialist is showcasing two multi-talents in digital metallization.

DM-FLEXLINER 2D: Digital metallization as an integrated solution

As the name suggests, the DM-FLEXLINER 2D offers added flexibility in long-grain printing. The digital metallization unit can be easily incorporated into existing processing and finishing lines.

At Grafotronic ASPIRE 2023, the DM-FLEXLINER 2D will be presented as a new module in the Grafotronic range, and its possible applications will be demonstrated as a component of a Grafotronic system. Impressive high-gloss effects, and also highlights in various metallic shades, can be quickly and efficiently implemented - both in series production and for special editions. The digital module is suitable for a wide range of substrates, from plastic to uncoated paper. The DM-FLEXLINER 2D also makes it easy to finish difficult materials such as coated papers for the wine industry.

DM-UNILINER 2D: Digital metallization as a stand-alone solution

As part of the event, KURZ will demonstrate another metallization unit for the long-grain segment, which is equipped with the same UV inkjet technology: The DM-UNILINER 2D. This stand-alone digital unit can be used independently of the printing system and process, creating brilliant metallization effects. One of the main advantages of inkjet-on-foil technology is its applicability on a wide range of substrates - including uncoated papers. In addition, metallization can be used in pre- and post-print processing. The DM-UNILINER 2D is suitable for customer-specific mass production and customization as well as for small orders, special editions, or different product series. It offers excellent late-stage customization capabilities and almost unlimited creative label and packaging design possibilities. In addition, it ensures smooth, fast processes with little waste and guarantees profitability even when processing very small runs.

New technologies and intensive networking

In addition to the innovations presented in the digital printing segment, Grafotronic ASPIRE 2023 offers all participants the opportunity to engage in in-depth exchange - for example, as part of 20-minute sessions based on the speed dating principle. “I am particularly looking forward to exchanging ideas with other innovative representatives of the graphics sector - and to discovering new synergies in personal conversations,” stresses Matthias Miederer, Product Manager Digital Embellishment Machines at KURZ, who will be at the event in Warsaw on May 24, 2023.
