At this year’s Labelexpo Americas, KURZ will be demonstrating the cutting-edge 3D digital embellishment stand-alone unit for web-fed applications for the first time publicly on a North American show floor. The exhibited DM-UNILINER 3D basic configuration is part of the comprehensive KURZ Digital Embellishment Solutions equipment portfolio, which has been developed by the KURZ Group in collaboration with its subsidiary Steinemann DPE. The unit applies high-caliber UV spot varnish and digital metallization with 600 dpi precision achieving sharp edges, filigree details and textured effects. North American Debut of KURZ x Xeikon Digital Embellishment Solution

After the successful joint tech demos at Labelexpo Brussels 2023 and drupa 2024, KURZ and Xeikon are presenting their one-of-a-kind digital printing solution that integrates advanced KURZ digital metallization technology, the R250 inline with the Xeikon TX500 digital press for the first time in North America. This is the world’s first toner-based one-step digital embellishment technology, combining Xeikon’s TITON technology with KURZ’s Digital Embellishment Solutions. The system allows for full-color printing and digital metallization in a single pass, enhancing ease of use and efficiency in industrial digital embellishment. This process offers a sustainable alternative by reducing the need for metallized papers and laminated plastics and features food-safe digital metallization. It delivers high-quality embellishment without the usual prepress and converting steps.
